Hearing you read helps to understand meaning thru your inflection. The ever cycling/flowing water transports, that revolving door, stuck, yet still flowing that lake, like life. Always moving even if we feel stuck it doesn't stop. Thankfully or we may not escape the trap of the revolving door, whether circling or stuck. Nice reading, good imagery too. God bless you.

I always enjoy reading it. Most of my early writing was spoken word, so the rhythm of the poem always feels important to me.

Marvelous poetry! A lake, a river, the sea, make me feel so peaceful. Sometimes, my son and I go on a " nowhere " ride. And, when a lake or any kind of water surface made by Mother Nature, appears, I can't stop smiling. There is something about that, that revives me. Thank you for the poem and the beautiful picture! Take care!

Late in getting to enjoy this reflection of thought provoking poetry, in both text and your audio! I have had unannouced company pop in and it kept me from the net... I can look at it 2 ways, 1st was how rude were they but 2nd it was nice to see out of state family!?! Like this brought it full circle to me, thank you Alex! It is about life and living because we never know if we end on a negative When it was the final time, we are not promised 1 more day, 1 more visit, 1 more laugh, or 1 more hug. I lost my son at age 35 it is/was hard and unexpected but I can say we always lived like there was no tomorrow. Please always live life there is no tomorrow!

I’m sorry to hear of the loss of your son. I cannot fathom. But I am glad to hear that this poem helped refresh the importance of connecting with our people while we can. I’ve had a good helping of funerals the last few years, as you said, they always come too soon.

I need to get myself into a reflective, meditative state of mind to read this beautiful poem. You think very deep thoughts…..

I love your poems and I love hearing you read them! The art of written word has been handed down from many generations in our family, but you have elevated it to such a beautiful thing. I am beyond proud of you!
